Using the 3D structural data from the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin, the Institute for Stochastics at Ulm University is developing a stochastic 3D model that realistically reproduces the morphology of the gas diffusion electrode using just a few parameters. The stochastic 3D model enables by simple parameter variation the representation of different electrode geometries, which are used as boundary conditions for the SPH models at the University of Stuttgart.
